Introduction to Department of Accounting

The Department of Accounting is the biggest department in our School of Economics and Management. There are more than 1400 undergraduates. And in the 27 faculty members, there are 4 professors, 9 associate professors and a university level teaching team. More than 90% teachers got the master degrees, and 8 teachers were granted as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Tax Agent or Certified Public Valuer in China. 

In recent years, faculties have achieved much in academic research with more than 20 above provincial bureau level research projects, more than 100 academic theses published in high level journals, 14 university level key course construction and 6 university level excellent courses.

The laboratory of Accounting Department was set up in September of 2003 and became a Central Government-Local Government Co-building Laboratory in 2009. It occupies 800 m2 in area with 160 computers and servers installed with software of Yongyou ERP-U860, Yongyou Shenyi A460 and Yongyou Sand Table etc. Such practicing courses like primary accounting, medium accounting, cost accounting, tax accounting, auditing, accounting information system, enterprise management simulation could be done there.

In order to satisfy the need for out-of-school internship base, we set up out-of-school internship bases in more than 30 enterprises and companies. All undergraduates are able to have internships in financial accounting practice, accounting information practice, financial management practice, tax practice and auditing practice, which would help the students to lay solid foundations for their future positions after graduation.

With years of education experiences and references of advanced successful education experiences of foreign universities, we created typical education mode of the applied talent oriented training mode, which applies theories with practical situations by cooperation with enterprises. Our teaching faculties are awarded as University Level Excellent Teaching Group with our outstanding achievements in education reforms. The “Double Certificate Ratio, Prize Earning Ratio” of the graduates rose year by year. And employers of our graduates reflected that our graduates were easy to fit for accounting related positions with all round theoretical and practical foundations Our employ rate of Department of Accounting has kept more than 90% for years. 

 

 

Introduction to Department of Accounting

 

There are 2 majors in the department now.

 

  1. Major of Accounting (Undergraduate, 3 directions)

The accounting major is a provincial level key construction major. The major pays much attention to solid theoretical foundation, all round knowledge, high practical abilities, comprehensive qualities, and creative thinking. The graduates are able to do accounting, auditing and financial management in enterprises, company, government and some related organizations with their knowledge in economics, laws and accounting.

Training directions: Engineering accounting direction; auditing direction; accounting information direction.  

Main courses: Management, Economic Theories, Statistics, Primary Accounting, Medium Accounting, Cost Accounting, Marketing, Computer Accounting, Economic Laws, Auditing, Management Information System, Financial Management, Advanced Accounting, etc.

Education duration: 4 years.

 

  1. Major of Financial Management (Undergraduate, 2 directions)

The major of Financial Management is one of the main majors in the School of Economics and Management. The major pays much attention to solid theoretical foundation, all round knowledge, high practical abilities, comprehensive qualities, and creative thinking. The graduates are able to do accounting, auditing and financial management in all kinds of enterprises, companies, financial units (investment bank, insurance company, assets management company), asset evaluation companies and government with their knowledge in management, economics, laws, finance, asset valuation.

Training directions: investment and finance direction; asset evaluation direction.

Main courses: Economic Laws, Primary Accounting, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Management, Cost Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Medium Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Tax Laws, Auditing, Computer Financial Management, International Financial Management, Capital Management, Finance, Asset Evaluation etc.

Education duration: 4 years.

 

 The Introduction of Financial Engineering(undergraduate degree)

The major aims at cultivating senior application-oriented financial talents with  abilities of   financial product design, fixed income and derivatives trading together with the ability of financial products primary pricing. Graduates of this major have the basic knowledge of modern economy, finance and  investment principles. They meet the requirements of rapid development of china’s financial market by owning high level and application ability of foreign language, maths and computer.

     The major cultivates financial talents with the character of application-oriented, inter-disciplinary and  creative. Graduates of the major can serve in fund company, securities company, investment company, trust and investment company, financial planning and insurance company, finance company, financial consulting company, commercial bank, large and medium enterprise. Graduates with solid foundation can take up advanced studies or study abroad.

Major Courses: Micro-economics, Macro-economics, Econometric, Management, finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Investment Principles, Advance Maths,  Statistics, Investment Portfolio Management, Financial Risk Management, SQL Server, Option Theory and Practice, Investment Banking and  Financial Engineering.

Basic Conditions: The major enrolls science students with high level of maths and the foreign language must be English.

The Introduction of International Economics and Trade (undergraduate degree)

Training Object: The major aims at cultivating senior application-oriented talents by promoting all round development of moral, intellectual and physical education. Graduates of the major have solid foundation, broad knowledge, strong practical abilities, high comprehensive quality and spirit of innovation. They can serve in enterprises and public institutions and engage in the related work by systematically acquiring basic knowledge and basic techniques of international economy and trade.

Major Courses: Micro-economics, Macro-economics, Statistics Principles, Economic Law, WTO Rules, International Economy, Introduction to World Economy, International Trade and Practice, The World Market Analysis, International Business Negotiation, International Marketing,  International Finance, International Settlements, Foreign Trade documents, Customs Declaration Practice, International Freight Forwarder, E-commerce.

School of Economics and Management  Introduction to Tourism Management

      This specialty  trains talents with professional knowledge and skills of tourism enterprise management and service and the theory with tourism basic theory  teaching and the application of knowledge enterprise  practice to meet the need of the development of social economy and the construction of socialist modernization in twenty-first Century .They will be inter-disciplinary talents with solid foundation, wide knowledge, strong ability, high quality, high-level application. After graduation,they can work for the tourism planning ,the tourism administration department and the management and training in the tourism enterprises.

We will train the talents the core competence of occupation. We use the theory basis, case teaching, project teaching, group discussion, investigation, enterprises and other advanced teaching mode to promote the reform of classroom teaching and creat the teaching system with the project work and social practice and professional training/ internship practice.

marketing management major

This specialty take the project culture education as backing, cultivate all-round development  high-level professional personnel With marketing professional and cultural qualities、professional ethics. They have wide knowledge、strong practical ability 、high comprehensive quality and innovative spirit, master marketing professional theory, professional knowledge and basic skills, also have the theoretical and practical ability in the related departments such as enterprises, institutions, government.

 

Main courses include: Economic law, Macro economics, Micro economics, Finance, Management, Statistics, Management information systems, Enterprise strategic management, The introduction of e-commerce ,Consumer behavior, Management communication, Logistics management, Service marketing, Market investigation and prediction, English in Marketing;

Marketing direction; Price strategy, Sales management, Marketing channel management, marketing planning practice, Negotiation and selling practices,  The international marketing;

E-commerce logistics direction:  Electronic commerce system planning and design, E-commerce logistics management, Network marketing, Distribution management, Supply chain management, Online banking and electronic money;  Marketing practice, Management practice, Marketing practice, Electronic commerce course design, Logistics management practice, Negotiation and sales training, Market investigation and forecast  practice, sales management practice.

Direction of professional training: Marketing; Electronic commerce and physical distribution.
